Here is a summary of the key issues the Village Council will address at their meeting on Thursday, July 24 at 6 p.m. in Village Hall:
- Public safety radio/dispatch system: Consider approving a 1-year extension of the interlocal agreement that governs the Municipal Public Safety Communications Consortium of Palm Beach County.
- New golf carts for the Country Club: Consider approving a lease for 80 GPS-equipped lithium golf carts, along with a utility hauler, shuttle and beverage cart for the North Palm Beach Country Club.
- First reading of tree preservation ordinance: Consider on first reading a new ordinance to strengthen tree preservation rules for private property and swales.
- 2026 tentative millage rate: Consider adopting a tentative tax rate of $7.40 per $1,000 of taxable property value for the upcoming fiscal year.
- Comprehensive Plan follow-up: Listen to a staff presentation on the recently adopted Comprehensive Plan Amendments from the June 12 meeting.
- Lighthouse Drive Bridge update: Hear a presentation on design options and planning progress for the Lighthouse Drive Bridge project.
- Board and Committee leadership workshop: Hold a workshop to discuss rotating chair positions for Village advisory boards and committees.
- Budget calendar discussion: Review and discuss possible dates and times for upcoming Village budget workshops.
