Here is a summary of the key issues the Village Council will address at their meeting on Thursday, December 12 at 6 p.m. in Village Hall:
- Award presentation by Hispanic Vote Palm Beach County to Councilmember Orlando Puyol, the first Cuban-born Village Councilmember.
- Consider approving a Blanket Purchase Order with Commercial Energy Specialists Inc. in an amount not to exceed $35,000 for the purchase of pool chemicals.
- Consider approving an amendment to the Comprehensive Pay Plan.
- Consider on first reading, ordinance changes relating to Construction Site Standards.
- Consider approving a Contract with WGI, Inc. for the design of the Lighthouse Drive Bridge Replacement Project at a cost not to exceed $639,729.
- Consider approving a Blanket Purchase Order with Flying Scot Inc. for sidewalk removal and replacement services in the amount of $75,000.
- Consider approving a Purchase Order with Tire Soles of Broward in the total amount of $75,000 for the purchase of tires for Village vehicles.
- Consider approving an agreement with Creative Contracting Group for the Anchorage Park Dry Storage Improvements at a cost of $99,300.
- Consider approving a Purchase Order with Precision Landscape Company in an amount not to exceed $100,000 for miscellaneous landscaping and grounds maintenance services.
- Consider approving a Purchase Order with Florida Superior Sand for the North Palm Beach Country Club in the amount of $60,000.
- Hold a discussion about proposed revisions to accounting policies and procedures, and purchasing thresholds.
