[ARCHIVED] Agenda summary for Dec. 7 Planning Commission meeting

Here is a summary of the key issues the Village Planning Commission will discuss at their meeting on Tuesday, December 7th, at 6:30 p.m. in Village Hall:

  • Review an application for approval of a site plan at 200 Yacht Club Drive for 206 multi-family units and 1,578 square feet of commercial uses on 4.09 acres at the southeast corner of U.S. 1 and Yacht Club Drive. Of the proposed 206 residential units, six are townhomes and four are “live-work units.” Buildings on the site range from three to five stories.
  • Consider an application submitted by Prosperity Village Development LLC for final plat review of the approved eleven lot subdivision.
  • Review an application for replacement of the Public Storage building and ground signs and updated building paint colors in the 400 block of Northlake Boulevard. The property was redeveloped as a self-storage facility in 2002 and received updated façade and site plan amendments in 2013.
  • Consider an appeal of the administrative denial of a permit in the 900 block of Shore Drive for electrical work to provide increased power to dock pedestals. The Village Community Development Department denied the application in part because it violated a provision of code that prohibits the location of mechanical equipment in the front yard of residential properties.
