Here is a summary of the key issues the Village Planning Commission will discuss at their meeting on Tuesday, November 9th, at 6:30 p.m. in Village Hall:
- Review an application for sign replacement at Suntrust/Truist on Lighthouse Drive and U.S. 1. The Truist signage is consistent in look and color with the national branding of the bank. The applicant is requesting a switch out of the building, monument and directional signs because SunTrust has merged with BB&T to become Truist Bank.
- Review an application requesting Site Plan and Appearance approval for creation of a master sign program. Records in the Village do not reflect any signage permits or previous approvals for this building, however, it has been operating with uniform signage for many years. With the submission of the latest tenant signage, the property owner was asked to create a master sign plan for future administrative approval.
- Consider a Village-Initiated Zoning Text Amendment to address fractional ownership and time-share operations of residential homes.
- Consider approval of an application submitted for the installation of a 5 foot by 8.5 foot kayak launching dock behind a home on Gulfstream Road.
