[ARCHIVED] First reading of 2025 budget, tax rate set for Thursday, Sept. 12

NOTE: NEW COUNCIL START TIME OF 6:00 p.m.

Here is a summary of the key issues the Village Council will address at their meeting on Thursday, September 12 at 6 p.m. in Village Hall: 

  • Review applications for the Recreation Advisory Board and appoint members.
  • Consider approving the Village Clerk's salary for fiscal year 2025.
  • Consider approval of expenditures with Siteone Landscape for in an amount not to exceed $40,000 for the purchase of landscaping supplies.
  • Consider on first reading, adopting a property tax rate and Village budget for fiscal year 2025.
  • Consider on second reading, amending the Country Club Budget to transfer $328,001 between two Country Club accounts to fund payment to Farmer's Table for partial costs of improvements Farmer's Table made to the Country Club facility.
  • Consider approval of an agreement with E&F Florida Enterprises for renovations to the Anchorage Park dry storage facility and replacement of dog park fencing, gates and posts at a cost of $415,909.
  • Consider accepting a proposal by Precision Landscape Company for landscaping and grounds maintenance service at a cost not to exceed $834,867.
  • Consider accepting a proposal by Aptim Environmental & Infrastructure to develop a Vulnerability Assessment for the Village at a cost of $58,000.
  • Consider adopting and certifying the non-ad valorem assessment roll for the Stormwater Management Utility Assessment for property within the Village.
  • Consider approving a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Village and the Police Benevolent Association of Palm Beach County.
  • Consider approving a Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Professional Firefighters/Paramedics of Palm Beach County through Sept. 30, 2027.
  • Consider the Village Manager evaluation.
