Here is a summary of the key issues the Village Council will address at their TWO MEETINGS on Thursday, May 23. The 6 p.m. Council meeting will include:
- Proclamation: National Safe Boating Week
The Council will recognize National Safe Boating Week, emphasizing the importance of safe and responsible boating practices. We encourage all residents to prioritize safety on the water to protect lives and enjoy our beautiful waterways responsibly. - Proclamation: National Gun Violence Awareness Day
The Council will recognize National Gun Violence Awareness Day, standing in solidarity with communities across the nation to raise awareness about the impact of gun violence. We reaffirm our commitment to promoting safety and preventing gun violence in our community. - Ordinance: Posting Legal Notices
The Council will consider an ordinance to update the procedure for posting Legal Notices. The new state law allows for these notices to be published on a Palm Beach County government webpage, rather than printed newspapers like the Palm Beach Post. This change will align Village procedures with state law and reduce advertising costs. - Discussion: Country Club Restaurant Management
The Council will discuss the process for soliciting new restaurant operators for the Country Club facility, currently managed by Farmer's Table. This discussion aims to explore options and ensure the continued success and quality of the dining experience at the Country Club.
If you want to submit a comment or question to be read by the Mayor during the meeting, please visit the Council comments page (the page will be turned off at 1 p.m. on the meeting day to allow staff time to prepare submissions for Council).
