The Village will hold a second interactive workshop October 26th to update residents about several important projects coming soon, and to get feedback from the public about various proposed changes being considered by the Village Council and management team.

The workshops are being held as part of the long-term Village goal of implementing the North Palm Beach Citizen’s Master Plan.

Topics of the upcoming workshops include:

  • Changes to the Village development code, which regulates the design and use of commercial properties. See proposed changes here.
  • A proposal to re-purpose lanes on U.S. Highway 1 for increased landscaping, pedestrian and bicycle usage. This involves reducing part of U.S. Highway 1 to two lanes in each direction, instead of three, as it is now. Staff will be available to explain the benefits of the change and to answer questions from residents.
  • A proposal by a private firm to develop vacant property at 200 Yacht Club Drive (across from the Country Club).
  • The reconstruction of the U.S. Highway 1 and Prosperity Farms Road bridges over the Earman River.

The next workshop will be held in the Village Country Club on:

  • Monday, October 26th

Residents can stop by any time from 4 to 7 p.m. to review materials, talk to Village planners and consulting staff, and to share ideas and thoughts about the proposals and changes planned.

Arrangements will be made to ensure safe social distancing and other measures to combat the spread of COVID-19. For more information about the Open Houses, call the Community Development Department at (561) 841-3365.
