Judy Pierman was first elected to the Village Council of North Palm Beach in 1986. Currently appointed and serving as interim President Pro Tem, Mrs. Pierman previously served as the first woman Mayor of North Palm Beach in 1989 and 1992; Vice Mayor in 1988 and President Pro Tem in 1987 and 1990. Mrs. Pierman also was appointed to serve as an interim Councilmember in 2006 after the untimely passing of former Councilmember Manny Grinn and in 2015 after the untimely passing of former Councilmember William L. Manuel.
Prior to election to the Council, Mrs. Pierman was a long-standing educator having previously taught in Ohio, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, and Michigan, and founded pre-school programs in Ohio. In Florida, Mrs. Pierman taught at the Benjamin School in North Palm Beach for 14 years.
Mrs. Pierman currently serves as deputy director of the Hispanic Human Resources Council and is also their director of education.
Mrs. Pierman joined the American Association of University Women (AAUW) 49 years ago in 1975 serving in both branch and state offices as a life member.
Mrs. Pierman is also a life member of the Friends of the North Palm Beach Library and the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
