The Taras Foundation is an oceanographic foundation that looks to increase the awareness of the threats dolphins and the oceans face. Raised in Germany, Dr. Harzan spent a good portion of his life in Portugal before arriving in the U.S. He has been studying dolphins since his early twenties, however, his interest and expertise have long expanded to include sustainability, experience tourism, hospitality, waste management and performance metrics. Stefan has used his wide range of knowledge and cross-cultural experiences to advise leaders on how to best prepare for the future.

Long before North Palm Beach was founded in 1956, the Jeaga tribe lived and thrived here. In 1883, two men began purchasing local plots, becoming the area's first landowners. The population surged in 1956 when Pratt & Whitney built a facility west of town, making the Village a destination for professionals and their families. Former Village historian Rosa Sophia traces the history of North Palm Beach, providing a broader understanding of the people and events that nurtured the community atmosphere that exists today.
