Darryl Aubrey, Councilmember

Council Terms


Darryl Aubrey was first elected to the Village Council of North Palm Beach in September, 2006. Currently serving as Councilmember, Dr. Aubrey previously served as Mayor in 2017, 2014 and 2011, Vice Mayor in 2010 and 2013, and President Pro Tem in 2008, 2009, 2012 and 2016.
 

Background


Prior to election to the Council, Dr. Aubrey held executive positions with Exxon and with IBM, and was a tenured professor of management and department head at Sacred Heart University. Dr. Aubrey has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, a master of business administration degree and a doctor of science degree in management systems. Dr. Aubrey served in the U.S. Navy as a commissioned officer with the 6th Fleet.

Community Involvement


Dr. Aubrey is a coordinator of the AARP Tax Aide Program and volunteers as an AARP Tax Aide in North Palm Beach.
Dr. Aubrey is an officer and long-time member of the Palm Beach Sail and Power Squadron.

FLC Finance and Taxation Legislative Policy Committee, 2008-2013.
Chairman, Regional Hazardous Materials Oversight Committee, 2012-2018.
